Some kind of DaVinci?

I think not.

I suck at art but I happen to know my way around photo editing tools... to some extent. Instead of posting up some dodgy drawings, I'll just put on display a few pictures I've taken and edited, using freeware, just like Jason recommended. I downloaded PhotoFiltre. Although it's no Photoshop, it can still be relied upon for simple touch-ups.

Work of Art #1:
Before: I took this picture from the crowd of the band The Flaming Lips. The original picture is so bright and warm until....

BAM! After opening it up in PhotoFiltre, I clicked the 'Old Photograph' option, which gives the photograph an 1800s feel with a dusty contrast and speckled effect. I love how it completely changes the feel of the photograph.

Work of Art #2:

This picture was taken right before my high school formal. The two guys in the middle are Matty and Browny from Sea FM. They were the dates for myself and my friend Bec (on the far left). I decided to edit this one, too...
Although I am in love with the original picture (because you can see that one of the guys is wearing pink - haha), I wanted to give this picture a more timeless feel, so I clicked the black-and-white option in PhotoFiltre. Black and white never dates, either, so it is a beautiful effect for pictures you want to hold onto for years to come.

Work of Art #3: I love to surf, thanks to my dad, who taught me. What he didn't teach me is how to capture the perfect picture of a surfer at the perfect moment. The shot above is of my dad taking the plunge at Narrowneck on a crystal clear day. I took the picture, which is unedited.

Sham... WOW! Now it's like, totally, like, blue. I know, right? Looks awesome. Anyhow, I turned to PhotoFiltre one last time to take advantage of the gradient, giving this sweet ocean shot a tinge of blue. I had to play around with it for a bit because at first I made it too dark and you could hardly see the surfer. I also sharpened the image so that the surfer wouldn't blend with the rest of the background.

Thanks for viewing my pathetic excuses for art :)

....

Okay, I'll throw in a drawing. Why not. But don't pay me out. Chalk and blackboards aren't that easy to work with (no wonder school teachers changed over to whiteboards).
This is a picture I drew of my friends and I while staying down in Byron Bay for the Splendour in the Grass music festival. We stayed in an old school room that had been turned into a camp cabin. Needless to say, they forgot to remove the blackboard.
